Sunday is always a busy day for me--fantasy football and homework. Oh, woes me...Anyway, I wanted to highlight a song that was posted earlier this month. While my fellow blogger felt it was sufficient to simply list this song in a "random day of awesomeness", I must respectfully disagree. This song deserves its very own post.
London's Fear of Tigers debut album is due out Summer 2009, and though Fear of Tigers is one of the most consistent remixers, I don't quite know what to expect. FoT can take the cheesiest song and make it a banger. Most of his songs are upbeat and feel-good, utilizing the sexiest synth sounds out there. The remix of Dawn of the Dead by Does it Offend You? Yeah? is a very subtle departure from the original, which is usually a quip of mine. What is the point of remixing a song if you're not going to completely stand it up on its head? However, FoT finds a way to deliver. I just got my hands on a brand new remix of Into the Clouds by Sound of Arrows...I hope this instrumental is a taste of what is to come on Fear of Tigers album. Speaking of Tigers in London, next time you visit I highly recommend Tiger Tiger nightclub in Picadilly Circus. All of the songs below are completely awesome. Enjoy.

With a half-assed week here is your obligatory half-assed post. Some are old, some are new but in the end you see it's all up to you(see how I did the lil rhyme there?). OK.... moving on, don't let the lack of motivation in this post fool you, these are solid jams. Click our sponsors, download, enjoy.

So unless you’ve had your ears glued to the underground scene you may not have heard much out Basement Jaxx duo over the past few years. With their forthcoming album ‘Scars’ which is complete and finally being mastered the anticipation is almost over. I think they’ve really started to come into their own, really hit their stride if you know what I mean. This new release will include a host of special guests, yes….Yoko Ono, Santigold,

Lightspeed Champion, Yo! Majesty, Cyndi Lauper, and Sam Sparro to name a few. I got my hands a couple of the tracks. ‘Raindrops’ is the first single and is far poppier than the grime that Basement Jaxx may have been known for. Some say this is them wanting to appeal to a larger audience. I say just shut up and listen. “My Turn” a ballad about a woeful romance is paired with a pounding dance floor beat and the electro touch all makes for a perfect backing. I’ll be celebrating all the hits when ‘Scars’ arrives September 22nd.

Things a little slow in the blogisphere this week so I thought it would be a good time to post a couple songs from some new albums that have just hit the street and an AFI exclusive from the upcoming album. The first of which being ‘All Night Cinema’ from the U.K. boy Just Jack who really turned things up a notch this time around proving that he has more in the repertoire than a couple of one hit wonders. Fred Falke puts the finishing touches on 'Doctor Doctor'. Enjoy.

"Shakira? Really? Lame." Wrong. "Shakira! Really?! Cool!" Right.
With the first college football weekend upon us, there is sure to be non-stop debauchery in college towns everywhere. Here are two Mr. Hudson jams off his new CD, Straight No Chaser, that are sure to liven up the party, and prompt your friends to ask you who is singing these awesome tunes, and then this really hot chick comes up to you and is all like, "O. M. G. I effing love this effing song! You're cute," then one things leads to another, yada yada yada, you wake up with a throbbing headache on Sunday, and luckily the chick left early without waking you, and now you have homework to do and you need a chill song to put you in the mood, but don't worry, we got you covered there too with the String Quartet version of "Supernova." Have a good weekend!

Here are a couple Cudi tracks I have really been feelin lately. First up is a remix of "Rollin" by Jack Chain. I would write something about or include a picture of Jackie Chain, but trust me it would ruin it for you. Guy is cheese...even though I do like his voice and flow. Despite his cheesiness, I love this song (mostly because of Cudi's verse). For the past week, it has been my go-to song when I hop into my car, or when I want to feel like a badass thug...
