Flight Facilities - Crave You
Flight Facilities just released a new single, "Crave You." I've been following FF since last summer and they hardly ever disappoint. As a member of Bang Gang records, are you surprised? Those Aussies know electro like no other.
To get the original track along with a host of remixes (including ones from Cassian, Ted & Francis, and Graz<---me likey), head here to Beatport. What I have for you today is an unofficial remix by Bxentric. This is the first remix of his that I've heard and I'm quite impressed. While there isn't much you could have done wrong remixing "Crave You", Bxentric did a hell of a lot right. I especially like how he emphasized the conga-like drum pattern. Oh, and let's not forget Giselle's absolutely gorgeous vocals. After this song, big things lie ahead for this Australian siren.

Still Wearing Fake Gold
Its not very often that these 'good' artists come to play in the cheesiness that is Orlando. But when they do, I get unnecessarily excited and start the countdown on my calendar, plan my outfit, basically treat it like it's the prom. I was excited to see Tigercity yet again after seeing them in December. Three months ago, I honestly just went to see French Horn Rebellion open for them but realized Tigercity was awesome too. This time was no different with Joel wearing his signature skin-tight skinny jeans. But guess what? There were about a quadruple times more chill bros in the crowd, salami-arm dancing, taking pics and vids on their iPhones, and singing along. So this makes you wonder... Did they get that much more popular in only 3 months difference? Or was it just because it was a Saturday night in Orlando? Did blogs like this help expose them?

Ellie Goulding - Not Following You
Damn. I really love this song (below). I can't believe it's not on her new album. It pairs a catchy and plucky guitar with Goulding's sultry and ashy voice. A perfect tune for lazy Sundays. Also, this video is sexy. Enjoy!

Coachella

This is a picture of a sign that was seen at SXSW which has raised many questions and made me somewhat weary of flying to Palm Springs and attending 'Coachella april 2k10'. Is this sign directed at music blawgers? Was this intended to keep people like myself from really feeling apart of this years biggest music festival? Hoping to run into much more friendly-blawger accepting people at the most relevant concert this year. Should I make fake press passes and bring my google analytics report to Cali?
In accordance to the upcoming fest of music, mayhem, dirty hippies, and inflated prices I've attempted to sort and pluck a list of artists from the upcoming show to make your life easier. You and your bros can come to an agreement on which artists will create important meme's of discussion that is unless there are time conflicts, then which your on your own.

Fink- Sort Of Revolution(The Cinematic Orchestra Remix)

When I had the idea to make a roadtrip installment category this was the the song that inspired it. 'Sort of Revolution' seemlessly shuts out all noise and fills it with a perfect marriage of acoustic/folk bliss. Cinematic Orchestra doesn't need much to put a subtle and beautiful remix of it together. This song belongs on everyones trip playlist.

Butterfly Bones

This quartet from San Francisco is being described as a mix between Passion Pit and Cut Copy. I don't know if I would exactly describe them as that. I think a mix like that would have to sound pretty sooper amazing. Butterfly Bones are though what you would want for your standard light, uncomplicated synth-pop. Their first single "xoxo" came off their colourful 5 track EP Pretty Feelings, which was released October 2009. Their unreleased Rockets remix of "Crystal Caves" has been getting a few plays a day from me and is well worth a download.

Is 2k10 be the best year in music?

Shout Out Louds- Fall Hard
So many likeable bands from Sweden these days but not many with a body of work like the Shout Out Louds. Two solid albums have been released previous to this 3rd installment titled 'Work'. Hopefully, this album will be recieved for sounding less like the album title would imply.

Two Door Cinema Club- Cigarettes in the Theatre
Kitsunes moneymaker Two Door Cinema Club has an upcoming release/recent release(depends where you find your music) that is slowly making a fan in me. Very catchy lyrics and upbeat sound. What more could you ask for?

Groove Armada- History
Londons electronic ensemble Groove Armada have unveiled their newest offering. 'Black Light", which is a step away from the usual uplifting pop. The new direction provides huge 80's tradmark sounds. Think ultra dark disco dance. Possibly, their best album.

Ellie Goulding- Everytime You Go
Ellie Goulding was probably the blog sensation of 09' and for good reason. Her album 'Lights' will be out everywhere March 16.

Citizen Cope- Off The Ground
Little behind on this but really enjoying Citizen Copes' latest bluesey-pop effort. Go out and support this guy.

Broken Bells- The High Road
Broken Bells is the new indie callabo between The Shins lead-man James Murphy(via New Slang) and DJ DangerMouse(Via The Grey Album/Gnarles). Their self-titled album will be out in the U.S. on March 9.
Your Life is a Stupid Rotten Mess
Face it. You're a single, self-employed (aka un-employed) weirdo that stays up really really super late doing pointless crap online while eating french bread pizzas, that you ALWAYS burn your mouth on. Then you wake up the next afternoon and wait to start the cycle all over again. Is it time to grow up? Is it time to wake up in the morning and eat 3 meals a day instead of staying up till 3am watching NBA clips from 1996 on Youtube? Why do people have 'real jobs' and are they happy? Should you switch to Geico? One thing is certain that should make you happy: you have an internet connection, and that means you can get lost in this freaking trendy music.Future Trends- Eyes From Heaven
Peter Bjorn and John- Up Against The Wall
Faunts- It Hurts Me All The Time
Woodhands- Dissembler
Marina And The Diamonds- Obessions (Body Language Remix)
Junior Boys- Max
Can it be summer please??? ...le sigh...

How To Make It In America

How To Make It In America is the new HBO show that makes being a struggling 20-something hipster in NYC look rather pleasurable. The show is based on two bros and chronicles their chase for the "american dream" while painting a landscape of areas around New York City. Some are calling it Entourage 2.0, but with the plot too thin and the backstories never really explored in detail they'll have their work cut out for them.
There are some unexpected cameos made early in the form of Kid Cudi(via day n' night) and Shitbreak(via American Pie). With Cudi in the mix it was inevitable that HBO would team up with the Cudder in order to help inspire an alt-authentic platform for the soundtrack. Cudi and DJ Green Lantern have put together an 18 song mixtape with some recognizable songs from recent times and also some grittier hip-hop numbers. Only a few of the songs from the actual show made the cut to the tape, one being the title track 'I Need A Dollar' by Aloe Blacc. The link to that track and the entire mixtape after the jump.
Nipsey Hussle- Husslas State of Mind
Wave Machines- Keep The Lights On
Bonus Jam- end credits of ep. 3
